I loved the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I have always loved mythology, and so in some ways it was like being reconnected with old friends. The Red Pyramid was more like meeting new friends, I have vague knowledge of Egyptian myths, they were merely passing acquaintances. The book was a little slow at times but it’s only because the stage is being set and we are just meeting all of the characters – I can’t wait to see what happens next!
