BLUH! I have read the other five books in this series and while I can’t say they were the best written books I’ve ever read, I enjoyed the premise a good deal and I liked the characters but for this book I was just going through the motions. The authors changed up the story telling to add different character point of views, a writing style I love in the Ice and Fire series but that is unsettling when introduced after five books of one point of view. The plot advancement was non-existent and the ending was way too much of a cliff hanger for me – every other book in this series has drawn to a natural conclusion and yet still left me wanting to read the next one. I went ahead and read it to the bitter end hopeful that this book was setting the stage for something better but if the next one isn’t much of an improvement I may have to abandon the rest of the series.
