I enjoyed this book well enough, the Celtic mythology about fairies was fascinating though I must confess that I didn’t find this book as difficult to put down as Lament was – I had such a hard time putting that book down. However no one can argue that Stiefvater’s characters aren’t beautifully developed and the plot is carefully plotted out. I think I had just hoped for more from Deirdre than the pale shadow of the girl we got to know in Lament. I heard rumblings that this was to be a trilogy – I’m fascinated to see where we go from here.
