I love Lesley Livingston’s Wondrous Strange series, Darklight being the second book in the series. I don’t know if they are so appealing to me because they are laden with references to Shakespeare and Celtic Lore, or if it’s the strength of the female characters, but I found Darklight hard to put down! This story was a bit more face paced for me than the first, I suppose because most of the characters had already been introduced and the stage was mostly set, so as the plot developed, characters deepened and matured, I was intrigued. I put the book down and immediately started googling to see if I could find information on the third book in the series – alas there is none yet!
